After I sent my email below, I fell asleep.
A short while later I woke up because of some movement, and a man was standing near my legs and leaning into my car. He grabbed an item of clothing lying at the rear of the car. I asked him who he was and caught his arms. He then pulled himself free and ran off. He said something to me which has been recorded.
After getting out of my car I found Rs 50 lying on the ground where the man had been standing.
I then drove around the neighbourhood looking around for him. Instead of him, I saw Pratyush Kumar Ex GE and now at Boeing in Bapa Nagar. I have named him in my corruption complaints against General Electric.
Later I was at a petrol pump and discovered about RS 2500 missing from my wallet's front pocket which was lying on top of an open bag at the rear of the car and was in visible sight from outside the car. To reach it, the man would have leaned far into the car.
This incident happened in broad daylight, and there were men outside Spl CP Alok Verma's house who could see this man approach my car. Men near the servant quarters of CI/ 59 could also see this man.
When I was driving around Bapa Nagar after the incident, I saw two men on a bike, both looked like policemen and they had stopped close to where my car had been parked.
Another uniformed policeman on a bike was also on the scene.
This was a planned operation with police involvement.
CCTV footage from court and police cameras must be preserved. The man can be identified.
I will be making the sound and video recordings with me available shortly.
